WHAT TO EXPECT -
CO2 FRACTIONAL LASER MACHINE
Our experienced Advanced Dermal Therapist will ensure the treatment is as comfortable as possible. Prior to your first treatment, your clinician will consult with you to assess your suitability for this treatment and discuss any concerns or questions you may have.
During the treatment, your skin is gently warmed by a Fractional Laser device. No anaesthetic is required with most clients describing the treatment as relaxing, feeling similar to hot/warm rain.
The skin will be red after the treatment and very rarely there may be some swelling the day after, particularly multiple passes are used on the under eye area.
The skin may be a bit rough and dry for a few days post-treatment.
Protective eyewear must be worn at all times.
CO2 FRACTIONAL LASER RESULTS
Results become visible from 4 weeks onwards with an initial course of three to six treatments recommended for optimum results. Results vary from patient to patient.
If you would like to know more about the results of CO2 Fractional Laser, you can read our Journal article about skin resurfacing.
POST TREATMENT CARE
Fractional Laser does not require down time and clients are free to return to normal activities immediately post treatment. To assist in the post treatment process, we recommend continual hydration of the skin, using prescribed cosmeceutical skin care, no sun exposure or aggressive exercise, no fake tan, no exfoliating for 2 weeks and to continue to use SPF 50+ sunscreen daily for optimal results.
